The Council of Ministers of the Federal Republic of Somalia convened its weekly meeting today, focusing on the protection of national independence, unity, security, and the ongoing fight against the Khawarij.
The meeting, chaired by Prime Minister Hamsa Abdi Barre, issued a call to the Somali people to:
Jointly defend the independence, sovereignty, and unity of the Somali nation.
Avoid actions that could cause societal division.
Collaborate in implementing political stability and remain steadfast in eliminating the Khawarij and other threats to national unity.
The council expressed gratitude to the armed forces and the Somali people for their efforts in defending the country and combating Khawarij groups.
Additionally, the Council of Ministers approved a Memorandum of Understanding between the Federal Government of Somalia and the Government of Kenya, aimed at enhancing cooperation in tourism.
